When you are trying to shop for a Christmas gift for the person that has everything, a Christmas market may be your best bet. You will find unique presents along with a festive atmosphere, tasty food, and more.

In this post, you will find the best Christmas Markets in Norfolk. You will probably want to visit more than one!

Note: Some details for 2023 Christmas Markets in Norfolk have not been announced and will be noted as TBC. I will update this post as more information becomes available.

Christmas Markets in Norfolk in 2023

Norfolk may not have the biggest Christmas markets in England, but the Christmas markets here still have plenty of festive fun, food, and fantastic gifts. You should definitely check out at least one to get into the holiday spirit.

Some take place in conjunction with the local Christmas Light Switch On.

Norfolk Festive Food and Gift Show

When: 10 – 12 November

Head to the Norfolk Showground to do your Christmas shopping at a festive event that all the family can enjoy.  Browse over 250 stalls and sample food and drinks inside the Main Exhibition Hall at the home of the Royal Norfolk Show.

Norfolk Artisan Christmas Fair

When: 11 – 12 November

Norfolk Artisan Fair at Christmas (formerly known as Christmas Fair at Holt Hall) will be held at Fakenham Racecourse in 2023. With over 100 exhibitors, you do not want to miss this.

You can check out some of the very best that Norfolk has to offer with a range of food, drink and gifts for Christmas, but you will need a ticket.

Christmas Craft, Food, and Gift Fair at Sandringham

When: 17 – 19 November

Browse stalls full of crafts, food, and gifts at this popular Christmas fair at Sandringham. There will also be an array of music to enjoy throughout the weekend.

You will need a ticket for the Sandringham Christmas Market. Adult tickets are £11 each (plus small booking fee). Get more details and purchase tickets here.

Norwich Vegan’s Christmas Market

When: 19 November

There will be a wide variety of stalls with lots of tasty vegan food and drink at the Forum in Norwich. It’s the perfect place to shop for all the vegans in your life and support local businesses too. Admission is free.

Festive Fair at The Forum

When: 23 – 26 November

Christmas cheer will fill the area inside and outside the Forum as thousands of visitors head to the Festive Fair. Everyone is welcome, you can bring the dogs along too as there will be festive treats for them too. It is a free event.

Shoppers can browse stalls from the local area selling everything from jewellery, pottery, textiles, woodcraft, glassware, art, preserves, calendars, cards, prints, Christmas decorations, chocolates, candles, clothes and more inside the Forum. Outside there will be festive tunes performed by local artists and all sorts of food and drink stands.

On Saturday and Sunday, you will be able to see some cute miniature donkeys from Mini Donks whose animals help people with well-being. New for 2023, Evie’s Owls, will also be there on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Great Yarmouth Christmas Fayre

When: 24 – 26 November

Enjoy three days of festive crafts, gifts and food inside the historic Great Yarmouth Minster of St. Nicholas Church. This year there will be over 30 specialist stalls.

Wells Christmas Tide Craft Fair

When: 25 November

Wells-Next-the-Sea holds a Christmas market in the Maltings to go along with their Christmas Light Switch-on which also includes Santa arriving by boat.

Creake Abbey Christmas Gift Fair

When: 25 November

The Creake Abbey Christmas Gift Fair includes over 60 stands showcasing Norfolk’s creative talent. There will be artists of all kinds including jewellers, painters, needlecrafters, a gilder and many producers of fine goods including candles and wax melts, garments, fashion accessories, food and treats for four legged friends.

You don’t need to book any tickets in advance. This event is free to attend and has free parking.

Wroxham & Hoveton Christmas Market

When: 25 November

The Hoveton Village Hall will host local makers, bakers, and crafters selling their goods. There will also be a pop up cafe. Entry is free and there is also a large car park.

Harleston Christmas Market

When: 25 November

This Christmas market will have Santa’s Grotto along lots of stalls, food and drink to get you in the holiday spirit.

Pensthorpe Christmas Market

When: 26 November

Enjoy some of the region’s best food and drink suppliers, artists and craft makers in a relaxed and spacious outdoor environment. Find bespoke gifts and delicious treats made from boutique producers.

Admission is £3 per person over 16. Note that entry to the Christmas Market does not include entry into the reserve. Since the market is outside the reserve, dogs are welcome.

If there are a large number of visitors they may need to temporarily close the car park at short notice, so please keep an eye on the Pensthorpe social media channels on the day for the most up to date information.

Hunstanton Dickensian Christmas Market

When: 26 November

Christmas in Hunstanton means a fantastic food and gift fayre! Enjoy a Giant Snow Globe, Dickensian characters, carol singers, live performances, tea duelling, Father Christmas, and Panto characters. Shop, savour the street food, and have fun on the fairground rides. Don’t miss the special appearance by Charles Dickens!

Fierce Babe Xmas Market

When: 26 November

You can do your shopping at The Assembly House, known as one of the best places to have afternoon tea in Norwich. They will have over 25 independent makers and creators who identify as women, trans, or part of the LGBTQ+ community, with stalls full of jewels, prints, homeware, accessories and all sorts of lush stuff!

Wymondham Winterfest

When: 26 November

The Wymondham town centre will be alive with family-friendly activities, live music and entertainment. The high street will be full with stalls featuring seasonal food and drinks along with other local products. There will be fairground rides and games too.

Norwich Global Village Christmas Market

When: 30 November – 2 December

The Global Village Christmas Market is your ticket to a worldwide holiday right in Norwich at the Forum! Discover incredible international Christmas gifts from diverse traders, illustrators, and makers, all with a commitment to fair trade and eco-friendly products.

On Saturday, groove to the sounds of carol singers, a brass band, and Caribbean steel drums with live festive music. Also, don’t miss out on the global hot food and mulled wine!

Thorpe St. Andrew – Festive Fayre at the Fitz

When: 2 December

Embrace the spirit of the season in Thorpe St. Andrew with this Festive Fayre, hosted at Fitzmaurice Park. This special occasion features a mesmerizing light trail in the woods, a delightful Christmas market, an exciting big funfair, and a delectable assortment of food and drink. Plus, there’s a chance to meet the Big Guy himself (that’s Santa, in case you were unsure)!

Gorleston Vintages & Retro Christmas Market

When: 2 December

The Vintage & Retro Christmas Market is back in Gorleston-on-Sea this year, and it keeps getting bigger and better! This event isn’t just about what’s up for sale; it’s all about the overall experience, and it’s happening in a unique historic venue, the Pavilion Theatre.

You won’t find anything quite like this Christmas event in the area. It’s an indoor market with a Vintage & Retro theme, and they’ve got top-notch traders offering everything from clothing to antiques. Plus, they’re really going all out to celebrate the eras of the past. There are historic exhibitions, live music from DJ AndyAV8, and dancing to keep the good times going.

The Stalham Yuletide Market

When: 3 December

Stalham will have more than 40 stalls on the High Street (which will be closed to traffic) and in the Town Hall. You will be able to find food, drink, wreathes, jewellery, cards, vintage ware, handmade clothes, raffles, tombolas, preserves, and more.

St Mary’s Church will have live music and the annual Christmas Tree Festival. The Baptist Church will have Father Christmas, storytelling, live music and face painting.

You are encouraged to wear Victorian period costumes. Parking is free.

Swaffham Christmas Market

When: 3 December

This festive market will also have live music, Santa’s Grotto, a funfair for all ages and much more! If you want to visit Santa, you should book a timeslot in advance.

Christmas Food, Drink & Gift Market, Holkham

When: 9 – 10 December

Holkham’s popular Christmas market has live music, plenty of stalls, and a street food court. It takes place both inside the Lady Elizabeth Wing and outside in the courtyard, so be sure to dress for the weather.

Admission is free, but If you are coming by car there is a £5 parking charge at Holkham Park, which is redeemable with a £30 purchase in the gift shop. Dogs on leads are welcome in most areas but not inside the Lady Elizabeth Wing itself.

Unfortunately, there aren’t any Holkham by Candlelight tours on the days of the Holkham Christmas Market.

King’s Lynn Festive Merchants Christmas Market

When: 9 – 10 December

The Tuesday Market Place in King’s Lynn Town Centre will be hosting a holiday market featuring locally produced crafts, food and drink. You can find lots of special gifts or just treat yourself to some festive food and drink.
